Rating: Advanced / Depth: 14m – 35m
Situated around 11km to the northwest of Koh Tao is one of the better regarded dive sites in the area. It consists of one large main pinnacle with several more smaller ones surrounding it, rising from depths of around 35 to 15 meters. There are large underwater plateaus rich in branch corals, sea whips and barrel sponges and an exceptional presence of reef inhabitants and pelagic visitors. Chumphon Pinnacle is where you are most likely to spot the seasonally visiting whale sharks.
